To be honest I've never even thought about the thread subject at all, dumb me
But now, when I started thinking, I've came to a possible conclusion that "not killing Adam" was a part of Gordon's test too. He doesn't know the guy, he for sure cannot know whether Adam is a good guy or bad. So maybe John wanted Gordon to understand that Adam deserves to live? But then why did John let Adam die? Maybe because Adam didn't show much of a will to live?
Although my theory doesn't make a lot of sense since Amanda was in practically the same position with her game. She chose to kill that unknown guy and won anyway.
Well, I'm even more confused now.
There's a lot to think about.
