1,000 Ways To Die

Postby Valkarius » February 2nd, 2012, 6:15 am

This show is actually pretty well done. As it is semi educational and could inspire a special effects artist. Or you can learn amazing stuff.

I mean I knew of the urge to put something in your mouth. Like chew on a tooth pick for stimulation but I really didn't know about one where people were addicted to chewing their own hair.

I'm pretty sure some of the incidents portrayed here are either fake. Or possibly an urban legend or story of some sort. There are several doctors who explain what happen to the victim. And they show computerized or graphic images.

The trouble with people chewing their own hair is that a blooming great big hairball can end up in their stomachs and strangling their intestines. Sorry if that's a bit TMI. I don't chew my hair - I gag if I get even a strand in my mouth...

Well, some people need the stimulation I guess. Boredom does do that to you once in a while. Or the job you love is full and you hate the current one, so distractions help as well. But you gotta keep in mind, not everyone has a gag reflex or at least found a way to get past it.

I understand about the gag reflex (or lack of).

They showed an episode of CSI a couple weeks ago. It was the golf club one, with the smaller part of the club lodged in the person's neck. So this could be an urban legend that was based on truth.

I watched a few episodes, I thought it was pretty cool! And most stories were brought in a funny way, so loved that:)

Very amusing and educational (sometimes) show!

Blood. Sometimes it sets my teeth on edge. Other times it helps me to control the chaos.

if anyone is curious. Yes, that is Ron Perlman's voice doing the intro.

Hopefully this show does come back as i haven't seen a new season. Then again, Spike TV has been showing marathons of its other shows lately.

If there's anything on YouTube I'll have to take a look - I'm sure I haven't seen anything on TV.
