The Bloodtrail

Remember when Strahm followed Hoffman into Saw II house?
Strahm went down and saw a bloodtrail that came from the bathroom.

Here is the problem. There were TWO people who left that bathroom leaving a bloodtrail, Eric Matthews and Dr. Gordon. You clearly see Eric Matthews leave one in Saw III and you clearly see Dr. Gordon leave one in Saw VII. So in Saw V, shouldn't we have seen two bloodtrails?

Come to think of it, how come we don't see Dr. Gordon's bloodtrail in Saw III while Eric is leaving the bathroom? Eric should have been the second bloodtrail.

Hmm... I haven't thought about this... Yes, there definitely should be two bloodtrails! I don't think someone could wash it of... So, it has to be a mistake

Simple answer.
They had not thought of Gordons escape until the final movie. And in the making of the final movie, they had forgotten about Eric Matthews.

Even though the Saw team are great at making small puzzles and references between the movies, they're not perfect.

Or maybe there are different paths to leaving the bathroom? *shrugs*

But that's a very good question..

You can easily see that there is only one way out of the bathroom. And even if there was two paths after that, you should still have seen Dr. Gordons blood trail at least for a short moment when Eric were leaving the bathroom.

I still believe that the team simply didn't think of this detail.

Simple answer.
