The house that Strahm enters in 5 and the house Eric Matthews goes to in 2 are the same houses. But... I think the house the police trace the video feed to is a different house. Matthews didn't run into the police there, and the police certainly would have noticed the van out front where Jigsaw was hangin.
Anyone else notice this? What significance do you think it plays?

that does make sense. Eric did NOT run into the police when they were in the house. i cant remember when Strahm was in that house, but it is a good point.

This is the whole plot of the second movie. There are 2 different houses. What they see on the video feed is not happening in real time. The police is therefor sent to the wrong house. While Eric goes to the right house, but after the trap happened and is therefor left to die.
They even say it in the movie, that there are 2 houses.

Eric Matthews was in the gas house basement. That is how Amanda got to him. Jigsaw did leave clues after all.
But Agent Kerry and the cops went to the "other" house.
What I don't get is well. Who kidnapped Detective Kerry? Or did she get kidnapped in the film yet I totally missed it.

Possibly in SAW III/IV. As they took place during same time period.
But this subject I believe belongs in SAW II anyhow.

Could have been Hoffman while Amanda took on Eric. As Hoffman was still a cop even if a bad one.
Like Amanda knocking her out then going after Eric. While Hoffman dragged her onto the trap. Because those new to SAW know that Hoffman knee or at least was at Alison Kerry's location.
This could be what Agent Strahm suspected anyhow. While he was going after Hoffman I mean.
